Filmtech continues to expand

Bean Station, TN – FILMtech Inc., a metallized and clear barrier film leader, has begun another expansion to its facility on their 18-acre campus near Knoxville, TN. The excavation phase of the project has been completed and the ground ready for commencement of a new 30,000 square-foot structure.

The building will increase FILMtech’s manufacturing facility to 150,000 square feet. It will accommodate a new 130” metallizing machine in 2023 and will increase warehousing capabilities along with shipping and receiving areas. Completion of the building is scheduled for the end of this year.

“We have been able to grow beyond our traditional converting markets and this expansion will support the new customers and equipment we have added in the last few years,” said Joey Barnard, FILMtech’s VP of Operations.

FILMtech provides products and services for the flexible packaging and barrier industries including food and pet food packaging, construction, agricultural, aerospace, printing, labeling and industrial tapes markets.
