TLMI Assembles Direct Thermal Task Force
[NASHVILLE, TN] – On January 24, The Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute, Inc. (TLMI) held its first Direct Thermal task force meeting. The task force was formed to inform TLMI members of proposed regulations in Washington and California restricting the use of bisphenols in direct thermal products. Led by legislation expert, Bryan Vickers, and the TLMI Regulatory Affairs Committee, 18 member companies from the supply chain participated in the meeting including paper manufacturers, pressure-sensitive laminators, and converters. The task force will continue to meet every 2 months to discuss the evolution of the proposed regulations.
