About John
John Crosby has been a dedicated team member for over 30 years to Grand Rapids Label, where he has played a key role in the company’s growth and operational excellence. He began his career there as a Sales Engineer (1995–2007), advancing to Vice President of Sales & Marketing (2007–2017), transitioning to Vice President of Operations (2018–2025) and transitioning again to Vice President of People and Culture (in just the past month). Throughout his tenure, John has combined technical expertise with strategic leadership and a people-first philosophy to strengthen customer relationships, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation across the organization.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, John earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and his MBA, blending analytical precision with business insight—skills that have defined his career and leadership approach.
Beyond his professional achievements, John finds his greatest pride in his family. He and his wife, Kim, have been married for 34 years. Their daughter, Josey (31), is an Environmental Attorney for the State of California, and their son, Campbell (29), follows in his father’s footsteps as a Sales Engineer at Grand Rapids Label. John also enjoys a close relationship with his daughter-in-law, Rosie (32), Greenhouse Manager at UC Davis, and daughter-in-law Madi, a dedicated stay-at-home mom. His granddaughter, Clara (2½), brings endless joy and energy to the family.
About Jessica
Jessica McCarthy serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer of NextGen Label Group. In this role, she leads the company’s human resources and marketing strategies, overseeing talent acquisition and retention, compensation and benefits, compliance, employee relations, training and development, and brand communications. She is instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture and advancing the company’s employee-ownership values.
With extensive experience in human resources and administration, Jessica is a champion of NextGen Label Group’s ESOP culture and brand custodianship values. She leads the marketing team in strengthening internal and external engagement, ensuring that the company’s brand custodianship philosophy and core values remain at the heart of its brand identity.
Jessica brings over 13 years of leadership experience in the human resources field and has been an integral part of NextGen Label Group for the past eight years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Syracuse University, in Syracuse NY and a Master of Public Administration degree from Baruch College in New York City.
