Lindsey Nicole Baker [Bruce Bell Scholar]
Senior – Ohio University
Lindsey is enrolled in the Fine Arts Program and studying graphic design and photography. Lindsey hopes to work in the pac kage design or graphics area of the printing industry.

Four Year Degree Program
(Full Time Students)
This scholarship program is for qualified third and fourth year full-time college students who are pursuing an education leading to careers in the tag and label manufacturing industry.
Application Deadline: March 31, 2011.

Who is eligible?
A $5,000 a year scholarship may be awarded to a sophomore or junior attending a 4 year accredited college or university on a full-time basis during their junior or senior year that can demonstrate interest in entering the tag and label industry.
What other criteria does the student have to meet?
1. The applicant must be able to demonstrate interest in entering the tag and label industry.
2. Major course work should include those courses which are appropriate for the tag and label manufacturing industry, Management, Sales/Marketing, Graphic Arts, Graphic Design and Production.
3. The applicant must exhibit proficiency in overall academics (a minimum of 3.00 GPA).
4. Upon the applicant’s request, an official college transcript is required for the work completed from the freshman and sophomore years and is to be sent by the college directly to the TLMI office address.
5. You must be enrolled as a full-time day student your junior and senior year.
6. The applicant shall possess excellent character including work ethic, honesty and integrity. [References from three persons, who are not family members, should provide this information.]
7. The applicant must provide a one page, typed, personal statement including:
- Personal information about yourself, including any special circumstances, interests and activities
- Your financial circumstances, including financial aid you are receiving and your educational budget
- Career and/or educational goals and how they might relate to the tag and label industry
- Employment experience
- Reasons why you should be selected for this award
8. The completed application and required documents must be received in the TLMI office by March 31, 2011.

How much is awarded to each student? $5,000
How many scholarships are awarded annually? Six
When is the money distributed? $ 2,500 by August 15th & $ 2,500 by December 31st

How does the process work? Review the criteria listed above to verify that you qualify to apply for a scholarship and then follow all procedures outlined above.
Once TLMI Headquarters receives the following:
- Completed Application
- Personal Statement
- School Transcript
- Three References
- Samples of Work (not mandatory)
The Scholarship Committee will review all of the applications, narrow down the applicants to 10 or less, set up personal interviews with each applicant, and will make their final decision.
How will I know if I have been selected as a possible candidate or not? Your will be contacted by a TLMI representative via mail, email, or phone.You will be contacted directly by mail or phone by a TLMI representative who will inform you of the next step.
Two Year Degree Program
This scholarship program is for students enrolled in a flexographic printing program at a two-year college or in a technical program where degrees are granted. This grant is targeted to the student who is seeking a career in the flexographic industry. Your school advisor must review your application and submit it to TLMI Headquarters. Application Deadline: March 31, 2011
Who is eligible? Any student enrolled full-time in a flexographic printing program at a two-year college or technical program that grants degrees.
How much is awarded to each student? $ 1,000 (per school year)
How many scholarships are awarded annually? Four (4)
What criteria does the student have to meet?
1. The applicant must be able to demonstrate interest in entering the tag and label industry.
2. The applicant must exhibit proficiency in overall academics and maintain a 3.00 or higher GPA.
3. Upon the applicant’s request, an official college transcript is required for the work completed.
4. The applicant must present his completed application to his school advisor for submission to TLMI. Applications WILL NOT be accepted directly from a student. (Each learning facility can submit two applications to the TLMI Scholarship Selection Committee.)
5. The applicant shall provide a Personal Statement, which should include: personal information about themselves, financial circumstances, career and/or educational goals, employment experience and reasons why they should be selected for this award.
6. The completed application and required documents must be received in the TLMI office by March 31, 2011.

4. Have school advisor review and submit application to TLMI. (Only two applications are accepted
from each learning facility.)

Four Year and Post Graduate Degree Programs
Full Time Employees of Member Companies Only
TLMI offers (4) scholarships, annually, to qualified students for their studies with the understanding that the applicants will remain in the industry with their current employer. Scholarship selection is based on academic achievement, character, a demonstrated interest in the industry, a statement of goals, a personal interview and letter from the applicant’s employer verifying the applicant’s employment status and commitment to the industry.
Once accepted, the applicant will submit to TLMI his or her course schedule by semester along with the cost of those programs. TLMI will submit payment to the institution for that portion not being paid by the employer, not to exceed $ 5,000 per academic year.
TLMI offers (1) graduate degree grant per academic year. The value of the grant will be equal to the funds provided by the TLMI member employer, not to exceed $ 5,000 per academic year.
