Leading narrow web press manufacturer, Mark Andy, continues to grow its market share in Romania, according to the company’s local agent, Graphic Open Systems (GOS). Most recently, sales of Mark Andy’s award-winning Performance Series flexo presses have been made to Inovalabel and Sunimprof-Rottaprint.
Inovalabel, which began life as Geba Color back in 1997, is a long term Mark Andy user. Starting with a bank of used Comco Cadet and 2200 machines, it acquired its first new press, an 8-color Mark Andy XP5000 in 2005. A Performance Series P5 followed in 2012, and since then, two new P3 machines have been installed in 2014 and 2016. All are 8-color lines and have the 250mm web width.
Sunimprof-Rottaprint was one of Romania’s narrow web flexo pioneers back in 1992, and started production with a used Mark Andy. Investment in new technology started with another manufacturer, but in 2005, the company decided to switch to Mark Andy and purchased a 280mm 8-colour Mark Andy LP3000 line, fitted with UV curing. In 2012 the company added a 8-color Performance Series P5, but this time with a 330mm web width, and most recently has agreed to purchase another 8-color 330mm P5, which is due to be installed in June.
Speaking for GOS, Sebastian Boureanu said: “We have built excellent working relationships with both of these customers who have come to rely on Mark Andy’s technology and service support to grow their businesses – and GOS is proud to have played a significant part in their ongoing success.”
