Third-generation German label printer is set for their new ROTOCONTROL finishing machine installation in April
ROTOCONTROL, a manufacturer of leading-edge finishing machines has confirmed the sale of a ROTOCONTROL RSC-series slitter rewinder to A. Mausshardt GmbH, now a third-generation family-operated company located near Stuttgart. After recent approval of the factory acceptance test, the German label printer is set for the arrival of their new ROTOCONTROL machine in April, for finishing blank and printed self-adhesive labels.
Founded in 1920 in Leonberg by Anna and Theodor Mausshardt, the former owners produced elaborate, embossed labels primarily for local cafés, pastry shops and butchers. Nowadays, Mausshardt offers a range of printed and blank self-adhesive labels in paper, foil and silk, specializing in tire, security, and custom labels. Operating in a modern facility, Mausshardt manufactures labels in various designs and formats with flexographic and thermal transfer printing technologies. Mausshardt serves customers throughout Europe in smaller volumes of 1000 pieces to larger print runs.
The RSC-series slitter rewinder destined for Mausshardt features 100% servo motor control, 340mm web width, slitting system for both shear or razor cartridges, ergonomic vacuum splice table for vertical inspection, automatic tension control, job memory for up to 500 jobs, and a TubeScan digital strobe for advanced label inspection.
“This is our first ROTOCONTROL investment,” comments Markus Klein, technical manager of Mausshardt. “We initially saw an impressive live demonstration of the RSC-series slitter rewinder on the ROTOCONTROL stand at Labelexpo Europe last fall. On-site, the decision was made for ROTOCONTROL, as they clearly have high standards for delivering quality product, a commitment also shared by the Mausshardt family for over 90 years. Our production team is ready for the upcoming machine installation in our Dettenhausen factory, and to begin finishing self-adhesive labels on our new ROTOCONTROL RSC.”
